Reliance is all set to launch it’s
first 4G Smartphone with ‘Lyf’ brand from Diwali. Reliance’s new venture ‘Reliance
Jio’ will be the face for Mobiles handsets. Reliance Jio President Sunil Dutt
said that “ We have already tied upto with 1,200 distributors for this.”
Company has tied up with 5 OEMs
for handsets. Handset will have 4G support for calling also, said Anshuman
Thakur, Head of Business Strategy Development at Reliance Jio.
“Company has already tied up with
Rcom in seven circles for sharing Rcom towers in the 850 MHz band. This covers about 35 percent of the market”,
Thakur said.
Jio plans to provide 4G using LTE
800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz bands.
